The Android operating system is traditionally associated with cell phones, at best with tablets. Most people do not consider it a serious operating system, which is capable of something more.

Nevertheless, there is a fairly common class of mini PCs with ARM architecture processors. They run the Android operating system, which not only supports tiny phone screens with touchscreen input, but also quite serious large monitors, keyboards, mice and other devices.

Android mini PCs are especially popular in digital signage applications, as well as various media players and Internet TV set-top boxes. Many of them have high-performance graphics subsystems capable of delivering 4K video resolution on one or even two displays. At the same time their cost is significantly (sometimes many times) less than media players on x86 platform. Media players, IP TV set-top boxes and especially Digital Signage applications are supposed to work in 365/7/24 unattended mode.
