Polywell Computers launches the advanced Nano-U13L2C industrial miniPC powered by 13th generation processors
Despite usual and natural lag in latest technology innovations in embedded computers, the demand for high-performance workhorses is growing in IoT, Edge Computing, AI and other market niches.
Meeting this demand Polywell Computers has launched the feature rich and powerful Nano-U13L2C system powered by 13th generation processors, which is still a rare offer on the market.
It supports the wide range of the new 13th generation Raptor Lake Intel® Core™ i3, i5, i7 and i9 CPUs with P, U and H specifications as well as the newest Intel® Processor U300. The CPUs with U suffix in the SKU are specifically designed for embedded systems and demonstrate the impressive 15W only max TDP.
The Nano-U13L2C has two SO-DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of high-speed 3200 MHz DDR4 memory.
The graphic subsystem of the PC supports quad displays: 2 x HDMI 2.0, max. resolution up to 4096×2160 4K at 60Hz; 1 x DP 1.4, max. resolution up to 8K at 60Hz and 1 x Type-C (ThunderBolt 4.0), supporting DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1. There is one eDP header on the motherboard for panel displays, but it may only work instead of one of the the listed above. The system with four video outputs is a cost effective solution for many applications such as Digital Signage or video surveillance.
The PC has a hardware watchdog that controls system hang-up, which is especially valuable in industrial, Digital Signage and video surveillance applications that involve a maintenance-free operating scheme.
The Nano-U13L2C has two Intel® I226v 2.5Gigabit (10/100/1000/2500 Mb/s) network adapters that supports network wake-up (WOL) and remote diskless operating system boot (PXE boot). The system is equipped with a Wi-Fi + BT module with Wi-Fi 6 capability.
The storage subsystem includes 1 x SATA 6Gb/s and 2 x M.2 2280 (for SATA-6Gb/s or PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe) ports which is more that enough for building virtually any kind of storage you might need.
The model is equipped with six USB ports (4 x USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0). There is also one USB 2.0 header on the motherboard that can be used for two more USB 2.0 ports. However, this header may also be used for other peripherals. The system also has one RS-232 header on the motherboard, which means it may also have a serial port if needed.
It is delivered in a new fanless Nano-F15 chassis which not only provides quiet operation and reduced power consumption, but also allows the system to work in dusty environments including conductive dust. Chassis with fans are also available.
The Nano-U13L2C (as well as all Polywell Computers mini-PCs) is made of industrial grade components. This ensures the high reliability of the computer and openly declared MTBF of 100000 hours, which is a unique offer in the market.
The Nano-U13L2C is capable to withstand harsh environments:
- Operating temperature: -5 to +40 C°. Extended temperature range (up to -20 to +60 C°) versions are also available at additional cost.
- Non-operating temperature: -20 to 70 C°
- Vibration operating: 9.8 m/s2 (1.0G) 5 to 500 Hz
- Vibration non-operating: 49 m/s2 (5.0G) 15 to 500 Hz
- Shock operating: 3,920 m/s2 (400G) 2 ms
- Shock non-Operating: 8,820 m/s2 (900G) 1 ms
- Operating relative humidity: 8% to 90% (non-condensing)
- Non-operating relative humidity: 5% to 95% (non-condensing)
The system can be shipped with MS Windows 10/11, Windows IoT, Linux. It can be used in a wide variety of embedded applications including but not limited to Digital Signage, artificial intelligence, edge computing, healthcare, network security, video surveillance, as a media player, embedded computer in information kiosks and other devices, etc.
