 Why Nano-Jetson Matters

  • Native Jetson performance in rugged form: Unlike bare modules or reference carriers, the Nano-Jetson offers a ready-to-deploy, industrial-rated package with robust I/O, thermal design, and extended conditions support.
  • Multi-tier flexibility: Choosing among 34, 67, 117, or 157 TOPS gives designers flexibility to scale performance vs. power trade-offs in their system.
  • AI inference at the edge: With onboard tensor cores and CUDA support, the Nano-Jetson can handle object detection, segmentation, multi-camera vision, local LLM inference, and more—with minimal latency and no cloud dependency.
  • Rich I/O for robotics, automation & connectivity: With RS232/485, GPIO, serial, WiFi, LTE/5G expandability, the Nano-Jetson is ideal for robotics, smart vehicles, edge gateways, machine vision, and industrial automation systems.
  • Polywell’s reliability + Jetson’s ecosystem: Users get the best of both worlds—Polywell’s industrial pedigree and support, plus seamless compatibility with the large Jetson developer ecosystem.

Potential Use Cases & Markets

  • Drones / UAVs: Real-time vision, obstacle avoidance, navigation, payload handling.
  • Autonomous robots / AGVs / AMRs: Local AI processing for perception and decision making.
  • Smart vehicles / mobile platforms: Onboard inference for sensing, mapping, and environment awareness.
  • Smart manufacturing / industrial automation: Defect inspection, robot vision, adaptive control.
  • Edge gateways & AI hubs: Local analytics, sensor fusion, security, prefiltering data before cloud upload.
  • Smart surveillance / camera nodes: Object detection, tracking, anomaly detection without constant cloud streaming.
  • AR/VR kiosks, smart retail, interactive installations: Low-latency AI and vision for immersive experiences.

Positioning in the AI Accelerator Landscape

The Nano-Jetson’s AI horsepower competes well with many edge accelerators and ASICs, while retaining general-purpose GPU flexibility. For example, NVIDIA’s recent Jetson Orin Nano “Super” upgrade boosts performance to 67 TOPS, a ~70% leap over earlier versions (SiliconANGLE). Meanwhile, Jetson architecture offers full support for CUDA, TensorRT, and other deep learning frameworks, which many fixed-function accelerators can’t match.

By embedding Jetson Orin into its own rugged system, Polywell enables customers to skip the module integration step and go directly to deployment—slashing development risk and time to market.

Opening New Horizons for Polywell Customers

With the Nano-Jetson series, Polywell steps into the high-growth niche of Jetson-based AI edge systems. This launch extends Polywell’s reach into robotics, drones, smart vehicles, and embedded AI sectors, delivering new value to both existing customers and new markets. Whether your application demands ultra-efficient inference, real-time vision, or resilient field operation, the Nano-Jetson is built to deliver.
